2nd/3rd Grade Self-Portraits

For this lesson students in the 2nd/3rd split class created self-portraits! Students were introduced to the formal concept of portraiture and demonstrated an ability to successfully add all facial features to a self-portrait of themselves.

The learning objective for this lesson was to add detailed facial features, color using realistic colors, and practice neatness with colored pencil; although this lesson was challenging for students at first, I feel as though the class showed lots of growth!
